Victoria Blisse - http://www.victoriablisse.co.uk/ Blurb for “Getting Physical”: Terri never expected to find herself a member of a gym.  Just because she made a small change in her diet and lost a few pounds, Terri’s mother decided to reward her with a gym membership for Christmas. Terri was not at all thrilled with the gift. However, to pacify her mother, she decided to at least give the gym a try. The idea of being compared to all those svelte women at the gym caused Terri’s stomach to churn.  The one redeeming quality of the gym is the gorgeous hunk on the bike that Terri spies while she is using the rowing machine.

John has been teased his whole life for being tall and lanky.  John’s personal life is non-existent but that is okay with him because he has his work and the gym. John is content with his life until the day he observes the lovely new gym member with the sexy and voluptuous curves. Would a goddess like Terri ever desire a bean-pole like him?

Rob Graham - http://www.phaze.com/authors-robgraham.htm Blurb for “Discovery”: John is a torn man. He has a dominant personality, finds the idea of having another in his power exciting and arousing. Eden Bradley - http://www.EdenBradleyErotica.com
Blurb for “Breaking Skye”: Skye Ballard has always wanted to experience her fantasies of sexual submission. She craves to be commanded, taken over. She is convinced that all it will take to purge this yearning from her system is one night. Skye searches out the perfect Dominant for the job-it must be a man who is powerful, attractive, and naturally dominant. But when she meets Adam Dunne, she finds a man beyond her wildest dreams. Adam convinces her one night will not be enough for what he sees as a process, rather than a single experience. Skye soon discovers that being with him only makes her crave more. And while he begins with the idea of training her to be the perfect submissive-for someone else-soon all he can think of is making her his, making her yield. All he can think of is breaking Skye-and keeping her for himself.

Romance Writers Beware

Filed under: WhatWeRead.Com, Writing Tips — misterseo @ 10:15 pm

This is just a quick warning to all you romance writers out there: Be careful when signing with a publishing house.

There are liars out there that will promise to put your beloved story in print and then come up with flimsy excuses, secret pre-order requirements and outrageous sales guarantees that will dash your hopes, usually after you have spent your hard earned promo money.

Here’s some advice for writers:

1. Talk to SEVERAL authors at a house before you sign a contract. Ask the tough questions (Are you paid on time? Do they keep their promises? Do they abide by their contracts?). Listen carefully to the answers. If the authors aren’t EXCITED to talk with you, run away FAST.

2. Read the contract carefully, VERY carefully. Don’t let your emotions get in the way of examining that document like a lawyer. You have worked hard on your work, protect it. Hire a lawyer if you can afford it.

3. Get it in WRITING. Stories of false promises and folks without contracts are legion. If they won’t put it in writing, don’t agree to the deal.

4. If you get stung, use the Romance Writers of America to report the abuse. Many of you are members of the RWA. Document how you were wronged and send it to them. It’s an effective way to let fellow writers know so they will not fall into the same situation.

You may have gathered this warning is aimed at a particular publishing house where the excrement has just encountered the ventilation device. Ask around, there are some VERY angry romance writers out there right now. Don’t sign with that house. The same thing will happen to you.

There are many excellent houses out there. With a little research, you will find one to help you reach your writing dreams.

Seduction by Kimberly Zant at Romantic Observer - Reviews

Seduction by Kimberly Zant at Romantic Observer - Reviews

Tera Cuskaden wrote a great review of Kimberly Zant’s Seduction over at Romantic Observer. Tera gave this Contemporary Romance 4/5 on the Enjoy-O-Meter and rated it Hot on the Temperature Gauge.

Here’s a snippet of the romance review:

This was a great read! Perhaps a bit predictable, but wonderful all the same. One will be drawn into the characters and their emotions. It was wonderful to see Amanda grow and accept her feelings and desires. Cole is a tough one to figure out, but the clues in the story tell you just enough to make one guess what his background is and what to read on to know definitively what his deal is. With a nice little surprise at the end, this is a story definitely worth reading.

Seduction is available now at New Concepts Publishing.

Reynardine by Lucynda Storey at Romantic Observer - Reviews

Reynardine by Lucynda Storey at Romantic Observer - Reviews

Athena reviewed Lucynda Storey’s Reynardine over at Romantic Observer. She gave it 4/5 on the Enjoy-O-Meter and rated it Hot on the temperature gauge.

…this is the type of paranormal romance that satisfies readers on many levels.  There is the curse to contend with and it is handled well.  Background to it is revealed in small pieces like a puzzle that we are able to put together by the end of the book.  A bit of mystery on whom and why someone would wish for Agnis to fail in having wolves reintroduced to that corner of Ireland also thickens the plot.

For this and other romance reviews check out RomanticObserver.com.

You can buy Reynardine at Aspen Mountain Press.
